A NATIONAL ACT OF RECOGNITION

With the First Peoples of Australia at Kamay Botany Bay

Donate

Welcome to our donation page! We are a passionate Australian registered charity dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding about Australia’s early colonial history and its profound impact on First Nations people.

For over 26 years we have been working tirelessly to bridge the gap in making wrong things right with regard to our nation’s history since colonisation. We achieve this by bringing early written records into the open, and placing them under public scrutiny.

This allows the Australian people to come to their own mind about those records.

Our Mission

Quality of Life: To lay the foundation for genuine Truth, Justice and Healing, leading to improved quality of life for Australia, for all Australians, and for our First Nations people in particular.

Education: Education is the key. We strive to ensure that all Australians are well informed about our true colonising history, beginning with very early circumstances from around 1750 on. Through education we aim to make clear the timeline of events that had such dire impact on many peoples, especially on the First Nations people of all these lands.

Unity: Truth Telling – The Recognition Way is a grass roots people’s movement developed by First Nations and later Australians working side by side. Our unique bottom-up approach focuses on bringing people together in National and Regional Acts of Recognition of our true history. These gatherings promote safe places to talk about our past based on factual records, no matter how painful those records may be.

Why Your Donation Matters

Your contribution plays a vital role in our mission to unite Australia through a deeper understanding of each other. By donating, you support:

Bringing People Together: These assemblies we organise create a platform for First Nations people to be heard, and also create a platform for all Australians of goodwill who are committed to truth, justice and healing to be heard with them. These interactions foster empathy and promote harmony.

Education Initiatives: Your donation funds the release of educational information and materials across Australia, ensuring that our history is accurately and sensitively taught.

How Your Donation Will Be Used

Your donation will fund the essential resourcing our Recognition Teams needs to effectively sustain this Truth Telling – The Recognition Way initiative Australia wide, for the long term benefit of all who live in this land.

Our underlying aim is to serve all Australians of whatever background, race, creed, belief or unbelief – for this generation, for our children, and our children’s children.
